out of focus.

Rabbit Holes

Art and writing.

Two things I never thought I would do.

Along with creating a website. Selling online. Developing marketing skills. Generating videos. Need I say more?

Most of these I started doing this past year. For. The. First. Time. Ever.

Challenging me to learn. Practice. Persevere. And most importantly....Begin.

It's no wonder there's been a lack of focus.

With so much newness and inexperience that is inevitable.

As I begin to push up against a year with my website I decided it was time to evaluate.

What is working. What is not.

As with any new endeavor it's easy to get sidetracked. Meander down a rabbit hole. Try a bit of this and that.

It's hard to be clear if you don't know where you are going. Or what message you are trying to convey.

That is for sure.

After some reflection I realized the direction I want to take with my website/blog is simple {1} Make and Sell Art {2} Encourage and Inspire Readers.

That is called focus.

It doesn't mean it can't change. Or evolve. Or grow.

But by putting my intention into words I have created a framework that aligns with what I hope to achieve. And with that focus I'll hopefully avoid the rabbit hole of nebulous ideas.

What are you bringing into focus this year?
