The Sky's the Limit

Perhaps. Depends. Maybe. That's what I'm thinking anyway.

The sky is certainly big enough for all of us.

And life is certainly filled with possibilites.

Here's the catch.

Do I really believe that I can reach for the sky? Do I believe in possibilities?

This way of thinking is a mindset that is not only optimistic but open and generous. Quite expansive in it's ambition.

The problem for me is that the sky and all it's possibilities are nice catchphrases but they can seem far fetched.

They do not offer up the amenities I crave. Assurance. Guarantees. Safety.

Instead they can be annoying. I start thinking about things like pipe dreams and fool's paradise.

These are stumbling blocks that keep me small. Because Possibilities and it's twin sister, Sky's the Limit require faith, perseverance and risk.

Quite frankly, I'd rather not face that dragon.

Overcoming this fear means that I must value my creative journey. It means exposing my vulnerability. It means making peace with possible failure.

I believe this is true to some degree for all of us whether personal or professional. We can only gain what we are willing to risk.

Guess what?

Your sky is waiting.

And your possibilities are endless.
