Looking For A Change?

I know for some of us. Or maybe a lot of us Valentine’s Day feels forced. Contrived. A Hallmark holiday that holds us hostage to red hearts and over-priced roses.

Those in a relationship feel pressured. Those not in one feel left out. Clearly annoying for all of us.

The exception tends to be the sentimental romantic or anyone under 10 who finds it a convenient means to score candy.

Despite how it sounds I don’t have anything personal against Valentine’s Day. I think the concept of honoring and loving those closest to us is valuable and important. And if we need a reminder then that’s okay too.

I just think Valentine’s Day could use an update. A fresh look. A Change.

Let’s keep the artisanal chocolate but avoid the cheesy cartoons. Unless you like cheesy cartoon cards then by all means go forth in joy.

If you’re looking for a change or a new option that’s where my help comes in.

This year if you’d like to give someone a unique, non-red, non-shiny Valentine’s gift I think a Book Cover Quote Card would be a perfect option.

Or if you’re in the market for a one-of-a-kind card consider one of the choices below.

Every Paper & Mallet purchase is wrapped (similar to the image below) before being sent out. And shipping is always free.

For any purchase, whether a gift for yourself or someone else I offer a choice of paper…generally white, kraft or vintage map. If you’d like to choose, please message me when you make your purchase. Also, if you are considering a Valentine’s Day gift please don’t delay. Order by Feb 8th or 9th to ensure an on time delivery.

I know I’ve stressed making new choices for Valentine’s Day this year but in my world there’s one thing I hope won’t change. Fran’s Salted Caramels.

What about you?
