Lately, I have been using these Caran d’Ache Neocolor II water-soluble crayons for mark-making in my art journal while watching…well, no surprise, art videos. I consider it a win-win.

I’ve had Ninth Street Women on my bookshelf for months intimidated by the thickness of the 722 pages. Jumping into the lives of these female artists seemed like a good way to start the year.

Ina Garten’s Orzo with Roasted Vegetables is one of my husband’s favorites. I often roast lots of extra veggies to throw in and if I’m feeling economical I skip the pine nuts. Give it a try.
