I’ve been experimenting with oil pastels lately to see the various effects that can be made. I especially like to use them as pictured here—random marks on black paint.

I hesitate to mention this book as I rarely embrace a celebrity’s writing. But I’ll admit that Andrew McCarthy’s, “Walking with Sam” has had me reflecting on that special breed of people who walk the 500-mile Camino de Santiago. A transformative pilgrimage indeed.

Thank you Ina Garten for another recipe that my family has loved for 15 years. Seriously, I have tried other salmon recipes but it always comes back to this one. Asian Grilled Salmon is simply the best.
