time.

I suppose it is never a good idea to design and create your Christmas card the week before Christmas. I mean generally a person is slightly busy that week, possibly bordering on hectic craziness or in some cases in the midst of a full-on frantic breakdown.

So, for the love of all things merry & bright that is exactly what I did.

I wouldn't necessarily say it was a bad idea but probably not one of my better choices. My advice would be to plan ahead. So, I'm thinking this will be a story about the Christmas card NOT to make the week before Christmas.

Steps for NOT making this card....

1. Do not search Pinterest for hours for a Christmas card idea when the perfect idea is in YOUR OWN ART JOURNAL. Because TIME.

2. Do not individually paint each Christmas card instead learn how to use your fancy printer, take a photo and print those cards. Because TIME.

3. Do not go solo on the Christmas card journey as after creating you will still need to adhere the mini-painting to each card, print family photos, address envelopes, and stamp "merry christmas". This will take TIME.

4. Do not repeat this experience but rather immediately put "create/design Christmas card" on your Nov '17 calendar. Because TIME.

5. And lastly...Do not lose sight of what is most important for the mere sake of creating a handmade Christmas card. Because TIME has a way of showing us what really matters.
